AUDIOMICA - Pearl Consequence M2

Reference analog interconnect RCA

Audiomica Laboratory is a Polish manufacturer of high-quality cabling for high-end audio systems. The company was founded in 2005 in Gorlice, where the main headquarters is still located today. The founder of the brand, now well-known in the audiophile world, was the late Łukasz Mika, with whom I had the opportunity to collaborate over six years ago on my first blog, which no longer exists, himusic-blog.pl. The management of the company was taken over by a family member, Mr. Marcin Knopik, who has been involved since the beginning and whose goal is to continue what the founder started. Audiomica Laboratory is focused on innovative technological solutions to provide the highest quality cables for the most demanding audio systems.

Audiomica Pearl Consequence M2

The Consequence series includes the most advanced cables in the Audiomica Laboratory's offering. The conductors are made from the purest 7N copper using the Ohno Continuous Casting (OCC) process. The analog interconnect provided for testing in its latest M2 version is equipped with high-quality WBT - 0152 Ag≈ NextGen plugs. The cable features double shielding for each conductor with PE material, along with additional shielding for the entire cable with PVC. By placing such great importance on the cable's shielding, the electromagnetic field, which does not affect the signal conducted inside the cable, has been eliminated. In the new M2 version, the cables are co-axially twisted, which significantly improves magnetic and capacitive disturbances, balancing out the interferences. This construction reduces the surface area of the magnetic loop to almost zero. Thanks to the use of such complex technological processes available at Audiomica Laboratory, we receive multiple award-winning, highest-quality cables that deliver perfect signal for top-class audio devices.

Sound

The Pearl Consequence analog interconnect was tested on two different setups where, in conjunction with the Naim DIN interconnect and Audiomica Erys Excellence, it did not introduce its own character. Besides a slight overall warming, improvement in dynamics, and significant enhancement in detail, the cable presented a transparent tone. In separate component setups (power amplifier with preamplifier), Pearl requires a suitable companion in the form of a similarly sounding cable with which it can spread its wings like a jet, allowing us to explore the entire musical world. Occupying a rich, colorful, and comfortable place in business class, it provides a journey to a world of music we will never forget. Pearl delivers sound decisively and quickly. When combined with cables that introduce coloration into the system, it may seem too strong and lose the desire to showcase its capabilities. Assuming it meets a worthy rival presenting a similar level of skills (such as the Audiomica Erys Excellence), it will strive to present itself in the best possible light. Combining these two interconnects provides emotional sound across the entire plane and every repertoire. This pair fears nothing we throw at them. Together they form a duo with great potential, rich in sounds that transport us to another dimension. The cable's design has been optimized to eliminate noise. A pure black background guarantees a top-level transmission – we only listen to the enchanting voices of the artist, accompanied by music that fills the room like a well-arranged concert hall, where every sound has its place, and every musician their position. Where instruments possess magical coloration (the texture of string instruments' wood, the pressure on piano keys, or the quivering tension of the snare drum springs), Pearl Consequence delivers a full, powerful sound spectrum that any high-end system would be proud of. The richness of the presentation that this unassuming-looking cable serves can surprise with fantastic stereo imaging and nuance-rich dynamics, evoking an emotional sense of the naturalness of the music being listened to. We don't need to close our eyes, focus, and imagine the concert hall we are in. The transmission is so credible that we simply feel it.

Pearl has a slightly warm character that brings us closer to a relaxed, non-fatiguing sound that can be listened to for hours. If something in the system becomes significantly emphasized, it is due to a poorly chosen companion with which it forms a duo. Do not write it off from the list of winners, because to present itself in the best possible light, it requires an equally good counterpart with which it will showcase its great capabilities.

Conclusion

The high price of the described terminal block can be justified when it is connected to another cable with a similar skill level. Then we open the door to the world of music which the competition will be looking for a long time.
