WireWorld - Stratus 7 Power Conditioning Cord
WireWorld is an American manufacturer that provides innovative cables equipped with its own patented solutions such as UNI-PATH, FLUXFIELD, COMPOSILEX 2/3, SILVER-TUBE PLUGS and DNA-HELIX. The founder of the company is David Salz, who, after many years of intense musical experience, realized how much the technology that improves the properties of what has been lost in the cable will bring. In 1980, the company WireWorld Cable Technology was established, dealing in the production of directed cables for music lovers and the professional audio-video industry.
Stratus 7 is a basic power cord equipped with the DNA-HELIX technology, the task of which is to provide the listener with music without loss or coloration. Tests of the technology used, performed with a cable polygraph, showed a significant improvement in the electromagnetic effects called eddy current resistance, which contributes to a significant opening of the band, improved dynamics and visualization of even greater detail in the musical material. The cable is manufactured from oxygen-free OFC copper conductors with a flat design with unique COMPOSILEX 2 polymer composite insulation to reduce interference and triboelectric noise to improve overall cable performance.
The Stratus 7 used for the test is equipped on both sides with the original silver-plated copper plugs from WireWorld, with the indication that the plug from the device side is WireWorld SILVER-CLAD, IEC C13 (15A / 250V), which can be purchased separately for use in other cables with flat design.
Sound
What immediately throws up after plugging the Stratus 7 power cord into the system is cleanliness, detail and greater energy delivered to the device with which it works. The sound gains clarity, which makes the treble shinier. The midrange gets a noble clarity, where the vocals make an even greater impression on the listener, who is immediately able to notice the influence of the cable on the sound. The bass gains speed and accompanies the rest of the band more vigorously. There is no lumpiness, slowing down or rumbling of low bass frequencies, speed and firmness dynamically presents wide colors of sound enriched with greater transmission of details that give life to the played music. As a whole, we get more fresh sound that does not suffer from overexposure, silting up or discoloration.
Conclusion
Not recommended for bright-sounding systems, as the freshness it introduces can further highlight the exaggeration of a poorly selected system. Recommended for balanced systems where it will bring even more freshness and dynamics throughout the sound spectrum. It can turn out to be a fantastic remedy for silted systems that lack life and energy.
The current led through the WireWorld power cord cleans dirt from the power socket well, plugged into a good conditioner can effectively eliminate all kinds of imperfections in the electrical network. It is more effective in protecting devices for which the current flowing through the cable is a kind of blood flowing through the veins, affecting the entire body of our system.
